Malaysian Artistes For Unity

May 18, 2008

A message to all Malaysians. Whoever you are. Wherever you may be.

Unity is the responsibility of each and all of us. Believe in it. Work at it. Don’t let the voice of the divisive deceive us, drive a wedge between us. Push back the enemies. Push back the lies. Push back the racist, the bigot, the corrupt who are bent in breaking us up.

i applaud Malaysian Artistes For Unity. i applaud their belief, their work. i applaud their sacrifice.

Let it be an example for all Malaysians to follow. Let us fall in … one by one.

Here in My Home
Written by Pete Teo

Hold on, brother hold on
The road is long, we’re on stony ground
(But) I’m strong, and you ain’t heavy
Oh there’s a miss-spoken truth that lies
Colors don’t bind; oh no
What do they know? They speak falsely

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

(Chorus)
Fall in, fall in
Fall in with me
Fall in, fall in, fall in with me

Push back sister won’t you push back?
Love won’t wait, just keep pushing on
Yes I’m strong, you ain’t heavy
Oh don’t you worry about that
What we have shadows can’t deny
Don’t you know it’s now or never?

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
And that’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one … ?

(Rap)
Years of fears and years of tribulation
The heart keeps searching for that endless devotion
Hand in hand we’ll march like blood brothers
I speak for my people, hope we’ll find peace forever
May the road ahead quench my thirst for success
May the road behind echo a song of the blessed
Yes I feel it in my bones, so I will let it be known
That no matter where I roam this is home sweet home
Sing!

Here in my home
I’ll tell you what it’s all about
There’s just one hope here in my heart
One love undivided
That’s what it’s all about
Please won’t you fall in one by one by one with me?

  1. I found out about this video from Yasmin Ahmad’s blog, and put the video on my own blog too.

Great to know that there are other like-minded people who take the time to know what is the most important for us Malaysians.

Me being overseas, the line “no matter where I roam this is home sweet home” means a lot to me. But like you said, it doesn’t matter who or where we are. Most important is that we fall in one by one.

    – i guess, great minds think alike. Thanks for visiting and keep up with your great blog. We need more young people like you to be aware of what’s happening in and to their country. –

  2. good

    move

    must continue this massssssssss conviction!

  3. The song was great; but it would not be reality. Our political reality betrays the rhetorics.

  4. The coolest effort!
    We are Malaysians! :p

    Great effort….
And its true that we are proud to be malaysians… the food, the people, the sights and sounds… we love…
Our country we love… that is the one love that is undivided
Yet its only the freaking goverment that sooo many malaysians are unhapy with…
    I love you malaysia…
But how you are run right now… i hope you last and everything will turn out great… or am i being to optimistic about that?

    Peace

It’s a great effort for the artist to be writing a song like this but i feel like it’s kinda @ a very wrong time.

    China there’s earthquake going on

    And now there’s flood

    Myanmar there’s the Cyclone / Hurricane …

We should be writing songs on the Environment ….. Earth is dying everyday
