Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

October 6, 2011

If it’s not for him the world today would not have or known gui, wysiwyg, mouse, personal computer, VisiCalc, Excel, desktop publishing, internet, worldwide web, multimedia, blogs, YouTube, twitter, facebook, broadband … yes, the iPhone too. He has had an incredible journey, giving life to an amazing fruit. And for a young man who had started out to put a personal computer on every desk and, at the height of his prematurely shortened career, also ended up putting the sexiest, most innovative phone in every desirous palm, Steve Jobs hadn’t done too badly at all. He is the greatest. His shoes are his alone to wear; no one will ever be able to fit into them. Rest in peace, Steve. You’ll be missed, never forgotten.
