Is planet Earth 7,500 years old or billions of years old?

April 26, 2020

A bunch of “scientists” keep telling us our Earth is billions of years old but according to the Bible we are living in a much younger planet

Let’s do some simple math to find out the answer. We will glean from the Bible the information we require by studying the genealogy and longevity of man for the first 10 generations and add up the years – from the first man Adam down to our patriarch Noah who survived the Great Flood and later died in 2948 B.C. as recorded in the Septuagint LXX text.

The chronology age from Abraham to Adam in this chart is based on the Septuagint LXX text. According to biblical archaeologist Steve Rudd, Jews in 160 A.D. in Zippori corrupted the Masoretic text’s chronology for anti-Christian theological reasons.

1.Total years from Adam’s birth till Enoch begat Methuselah = 1,287 years
2. Methuselah’s total lifespan = 969 years
3. The Flood happened in the year Methuselah died and Noah was 600 years old
4. After the Flood Noah lived another 350 years and he died in the year 2948 B.C. as recorded in the Septuagint LXX
5. Therefore the year God created heaven and earth and everything therein would be: 1287 + 969 +350 + 2948 = 5554 B.C.
6. We can deduce that the Flood happened in: 5554 – (1287 + 969) = 3298 B.C.
7. 448 years after the Flood, Nimrod (great grandson of Noah) began to build the Tower of Babel (Eridu Temple 1) which was in: 3298 – 448 = 2850 B.C.
8. Because Tower of Babel was destroyed, out of anger and rebellion against God, the first pyramid in Egypt was built ca. 2700 B.C. – Djoser’s Stepped Pyramid, architect was Priest Imhotep
9. Total years man has been on planet Earth: 5554 + 2020 = 7,574 years

Were the days of Creation literal 24-hour days?

1. First day – light was created
2. Second day – firmament of heaven / atmosphere / sky was created
3. Third day – dry land, seas, grass, plants and trees were created
4. Fourth day – sun, moon and stars were created
5. Fifth day – sea creatures and fowls with wings were created
6. Sixth day – land beasts, cattle and creepy things; man and woman were created
7. Seventh day – God ended his work and rested, made it a special rest day (Sabbath of the LORD thy God)

Most people believe from their reading of the Bible that one day to God is 1,000 years and therefore the days of Creation cannot be literal 24-hour days. Rather than question or deny the omnipotence of YHWH, let’s use our God-given brain to work out what the correct answer is.

One would notice YHWH had provided us with a fundamental clue for our answer in the order of Creation in Day 3 and Day 4. If the sun was created 1,000 years later there would NOT be any grass, plant or tree today. Because grass, plants and trees require sunlight for photosynthesis to happen in order for them to survive. It’s a known fact most green plants will die without sunlight in a matter of weeks. So, how long a period would have passed between each day during the days of Creation … was it 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 10 years, 100 years or 1,000 years? God is consistent and not an author of confusion – it had to be 1 day, a literal 24-hour day!

Also, if the period from one day to the next during Creation was 1,000 years, Adam’s age would have to be more than 1,000 years. But the Bible stated Adam’s lifespan was 930 years. Furthermore, the age timeline from Adam to Jesus and our calendar today would be completely out of sync.

Another clue why the answer is a literal 24-hour day. If each day of Creation was more than a 24-hour day, the 4th Commandment would be meaningless and would not apply every 7th day of every week (from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday) as it is now. Imagine if it was 1,000 years apart. We would have to perform labour for 6,000 years before we can observe our day of rest for 1,000 years! No man had ever lived more than 1,000 years, not even Methuselah! Is the LORD thy God that silly to make a Sabbath law that no man can observe?

To all doubters and scoffers, especially those so-called “learned bunch of scientists”: Is God omnipotent (all-powerful) or not? What is IMPOSSIBLE for man, all God has to do is SPEAK things into existence, like Jesus spoke life into Lazarus after he had been dead for 4 days and rotting and stinking (John 11:1-44). Consider this too – man with all the technology available to us today CANNOT even create a new drop of water nor a new grain of sand nor a new pip of seed without borrowing anything from what God had created in 5554 B.C.
